Fly fish for legendary wild brown trout in the hidden lochs of the Scottish Highlands.

Drive a fully kitted expedition standard 4×4 and see what's out there

Set up camp in tranquil picture-perfect locations and tuck into hearty fire-cooked meals sourced locally, while sipping a dram around a campfire.

DAY 1 (Friday)

Welcome to Inverness

Start your fly fishing adventure by making your way to Inverness, either by train, plane or using your own transport. You will meet Craig (your guide) to collect your G.O.Y.A. Adventures 4×4 that will be your home & transport for the next few days.

Together we will head to a private loch nearby to go straight into an afternoon of fishing and fly-casting instruction (where needed). After sunset, it’s time for a BBQ, a wee dram, a fly-tying demonstration and fireside chats followed by some shut-eye to prepare for your epic weekend of hill loch fly fishing.

DAY 2 (Saturday)

Drive to the West Coast and more fishing

We wake up at sunrise for a cup of coffee and biscuits and walk down to the loch for a morning throw while breakfast is being prepared. After a hearty breakfast, we pack up the 4x4s and head to the hills on the West Coast where we will fish for the next few days.
By midday, we will have our lines in the water and fishing for those lovely hill loch brownies “the heilan broonies”.
Before dark, we will head to our camp where we will set up for the next few days. Followed by dinner, drinks and fireside chats.

DAY 3 (Sunday)

Fishing, fishing and more fishing

Another early morning wake-up for coffee and biscuits before heading to another scenic loch for a solid day’s fishing. After the morning session, we have a mid-morning loch-side brunch followed by more fishing and a light lunch in the afternoon.
In the evening we will head back to camp for well earned drink and a hearty fire-cooked meal, drinks and fireside chats followed by a solid night’s sleep.

DAY 4 (Monday)

A quick morning throw then back to real life.

We will have a late lunch on the go (something like soup and bread for the boat). For dinners, you will feast on hearty meals prepared on an open fire.  from BBQ and salad on the first night to wood-fired pizza in our pizza oven and a hearty stew cooked in a cast iron pot on the coals. Desert will be locally made ice cream. Vegetarian, vegan and most dietary requirements can be accommodated, please just let us know upon booking.

WHAT IS THE ACCOMMODATION LIKE?

For all three days, you will sleep in the rooftop tents (RTTs) that are on your vehicle. 2 adults can comfortably sleep in the tent, but if you’d rather not share a tent with your fishing buddy then we can provide a 2 man ground tent for you to sleep in. Our Land Rover Defender (Kingsley) is a campervan-style vehicle with a pop-top roof. 2 people can sleep up top or you could split so that one person sleeps up top and the other down below. In the RTTs, we don’t do sleeping bags. We provided crispy sheets, comfortable pillows and brushed cotton duvets for a VERY good night’s sleep. In the two man tents we provide 3 season sleeping bags

For us, sustainability is not just about planting trees to feel good about having done “our part”. Stewardship is at the core of our business value, we are dedicated to the responsible use and protection of the natural, social and economic environment through active participation in conservation efforts and sustainable practices.

So what does this mean for you and me?

Every single mile that our vehicles cover (whether it is by our guests through rentals or our own personal use) is recorded so that we can calculate the CO@ emissions that our vehicles emit. We then make a monthly donation to organisations responsible for the restoration of one of the most significant …. The peat bogs of the Flow Country in Caithness. These peatlands store over 400 million tonnes of carbon (more than double the amount in all of Britain’s woodlands) and play a major role in carbon capture and combating the effects of climate change.

Plastic Waste

We are determined to reduce our own plastic waste and have started by eliminating all single-use plastics in our business.

Buy Local

Where possible, we always buy locally. Whether it’s coffee, fresh produce, bread or beer we choose to support local businesses. Keeping the revenue in the local community is important to the local economy.
